Blogs were once thought of as online diaries where people would whine about their day or recount every step they took for an entire week. Blogs are often overlooked as marketing tools by businesses and companies who could use blogs to introduce a whole new audience to their products and services.
A hair replacement company could place a blog on their website in order to blog about hair replacement cost which is something many people are concerned about when they first decide to investigate hair replacement as an option for their baldness. A blog on a business’ website does not cost them anything except for the monthly or yearly cost of the website. Additionally, a blog on a company’s website could act as a place for testimonials from satisfied customers who have already gone through the hair replacement procedure. New and potential customers would like to hear about former patient’s experiences, both good and bad, with the hair replacement surgery.
A hair replacement company could also find other blogs to post on because there are millions and millions of blogs available through the Internet and there are sure to be several that would welcome posts about hair replacement like a blog about how to better yourself, a blog about self-esteem, a blog about hair loss and the list goes on and on.
Additionally, blog entries on the company’s website count toward search engine optimization or SEO. Search engine optimization is when the three major search engines - Yahoo!, MSN and Google - send out their “feelers” in order to locate the keywords and keyword phrases within the articles or blogs among the websites and then rank the websites according to a special formula. This special formula is only known to the major search engines; however it does have to do with keywords and keyword phrases on a business’ website. Keywords and keyword phrases are the words potential customers place in the search boxes on the search engines in order to find what they need or want.
A hair replacement company could blog using keywords and keyword phrases in order to help their search engine ranking because having a high ranking on the major search engine is beneficial to a company because the majority of people who use search engines choose from the top 10 website listings brought back by the major search engines because a) people are lazy and b) more people believe that the higher the ranking, the better the company or the more popular the company is; therefore they should choose them - however this is not always the case.
If a hair replacement company uses blogs in order to reach more customers, than their competition cannot hold a candle to them because they are marketing their business through the Internet and that is where more customers are looking for what they want and need over all other media combine.
