Blogging About Your Candle Business Makes Sense
Dec 4th, 2008 by admin
Blogging about your homemade or handmade candle business is a good way to inform the general public, including other businesses, about your candles and about what they can expect from your business. Blogs are a way to express your opinion and not be as rigid as with journalistic articles. Blogs can introduce your customers to new items and events surrounding your business.
If you’re having a special and scented jar candles, writing about them in your blog and adding informative information such as where scented jar candles came from or about the different spices that you carry will attract more readership to your candle blog. Blogs are a form of information, entertainment and often times a way to express feelings about your subject in ways you would not be able to express in an article.
Blogs can be any thing from free to a minimal monthly cost and range in their topics from the mundane to the exciting and only the readers can decide which is which. Your blog can talk about various jar candles, soy candles, spices and essential oil or how the candles are made by you and/or your staff and where you get your ingredients. If you only use all-natural ingredients from the Hawaiian Islands you could write a blog about the Hawaiian Islands and their abundance of rich, fragrant ingredients.
According to one blog expert, people need information quickly and in small, easily digestible bites. An article by the “Eggspert” on Sparkplugging.com states that “people don’t even sit down to read the newspaper anymore, so it’s important to get people’s attention quickly, offer them what they’re looking for, and let them go on with their lives.”
