Cheap and Shameless Blog Promotion

Alright, this might not be the mast savoury of methods, but I have been thinking about it for quite some time. I would really like to know what people think of this strange idea.

I guess it would take a long time to do this, but just think of how opportunities you have to do this. Your domain name could be circulating the nation for who knows how long. This is a good example of offline advertising, something many bloggers fail to exploit.

You could probably get away with it on a small scale, but officially bill defacement is illegal … you wouldn’t want to run out and get $1,000’s of $1 bills, write your blog address on it, then start using them all over the place.
Interesting idea….but is it illegal to deface money? Thought I read that somewhere.
Well thats a subject that is up for debate. Just think about the penny crushing machines all across the country. Is that defacement? Of course, is this - probably. Still a cool way to reach 100% of the society and the marketplace.
Interesting thought. The dollar bill isn’t in circulation as long as you may think; from what I’ve read, on average, they are destroyed after about 18 months. The $20 bill lasts about 24 months.
That makes sense, the only reason I would say dollar - is because most people have more of those than any other bill.
That’s a great idea. I’m gonna do something with it!
That’s a good idea for dollars or euros, but the banknotes in my country are made of plastic and you can’t write on them.
Oh, or maybe i should try with a marker
Well if http://www.wheresgeorge.com has been around since the 90s, you can probably get away with it.
